Related Location
From Bonners Ferry, travel north on Hwy 95 turn left on Hwy 1. Go about 2 miles, turn left on Copeland Road. At the end of Copeland Road, turn right on Westside Road and follow signs to the WMA. There is no vehicle access from Porthill to the WMA.
No shooting is allowed within 100 yds of the headquarter buildings.
Grizzly bear activity is common and possible on any part of the WMA, day or night. Please use Bear Aware precautions, including carrying bear spray, when enjoying the area.
There is no camping on this WMA, however, camping is allowed on nearby federal public lands.
Areas with stocked birds are popular and can experience high hunter use. Please be courteous to others you encounter.

Shooting hours for upland game birds on Upland Game Bird Permit Release Areas are 10:00 am (local time) to one-half hour after sunset.
