Annual Direction Documents

The 'direction documents' are an annual step-down of the Strategic Plan. They are designed primarily to articulate each year's priorities to Department staff before annual work planning takes place, and they also show Idaho citizens how the Department is making progress towards Strategic Plan goals.

The Direction document lists the direction for priorities that require focused efforts, beyond those everyday activities Fish and Game does to manage Idaho’s fish and wildlife. The format has changed to better comply with the state strategic planning law (Idaho Code 67:1903-4), to more explicitly connect it to The Strategic Plan, and to better reflect progress made in the prior fiscal year towards the longer-term goals.
