Southwest Region

The Southwest region boasts wide diversity of wildlife and habitat. It includes river canyons, sagebrush deserts, high mountain lakes, and mountainous forests. The waters in this area provide warm water fisheries of bass, bluegill and crappie and some of the finest trout and kokanee fishing in the state. 


Elevations in the southwest range from 1,688 at Hells Canyon Dam to 10,582 at Elk Peak.
