MK Nature Center

The Idaho Fish and Game MK Nature Center offers a unique wildlife experience on a 4.6-acre site along the Boise River Greenbelt. The StreamWalk and Visitor Center provide a glimpse of Idaho's many landscapes and abundant wildlife. Underwater viewing windows along the stream walk give visitors a fish-eye view of the world.

Location

The MKNC is located between Municipal Park and the Boise Greenbelt. The Center is not obvious from the road - it is situated behind the Fish and Game Headquarters building on Walnut Street.

    Salmon and Steelhead Days comes to MK Nature Center on Sept. 4-6

    The event celebrates Idaho’s anadromous fish by involving fifth grade students in hands-on learning about salmon and steelhead.  Over the course of the three-day educational event, nearly 2,300 students from southwest Idaho will participate in a day of hands-on learning. This year’s event will host 80 classes from 34 schools.

    For Idaho stamp collectors and frog enthusiasts, July 9 is a great day to be in Boise at the Idaho Fish and Game Morrison Knudsen Nature Center. The department is hosting an upcoming "First Day of Issue" ceremony for the United States Postal Service’s Frogs Forever stamps. This ceremony represents the national release of this set of new stamps.
