MK Nature Center

The Idaho Fish and Game MK Nature Center offers a unique wildlife experience on a 4.6-acre site along the Boise River Greenbelt. The StreamWalk and Visitor Center provide a glimpse of Idaho's many landscapes and abundant wildlife. Underwater viewing windows along the stream walk give visitors a fish-eye view of the world.

 

Visitor Center

  • The Visitor Center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m to 3 p.m.
  • The grounds will remain open every day, from dawn to dusk.
  • License desk available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Features and Amenities

Location

The MKNC is located between Municipal Park and the Boise Greenbelt. The Center is not obvious from the road - it is situated behind the Fish and Game Headquarters building on Walnut Street.

    Four of our most popular programs / presentations have been converted to movie files for your enjoyment. These presentations are designed for elementary-aged students. The Nature Center Grounds (fish viewing windows, garden, paths and bridges) are open. If you visit, PLEASE use social distancing guidelines to protect yourself and other visitors.
