The application period for fall 2024 deer, elk, pronghorn, swan, fall black bear, and fall turkey controlled hunts runs May 1 through June 5. All applicants will receive an email with their draw results by early July if there’s a valid email in their license account.

F&G confirms the first Grizzly Bear sighting west of I-15 in the Upper Snake Region

Trail camera footage provided to Fish and Game staff confirms the presence of a grizzly bear west of Interstate 15 in Hunting Unit 59. F&G alerts hunters and recreationists of a confirmed grizzly sighting north of Salmon

Idaho Fish and Game officials have confirmed a grizzly bear sighting in the North Fork Salmon River area near the Montana border. The bear was photographed by a game camera on May 23, and the bear was clearly identified as a grizzly. It is not known if the bear is still in the area.
Southwest Region rainbow trout stocking schedule – June

Fish and Game staff will be stocking more than 94,000 catchable-size (10 to 12 inch) trout at the following locations across the Southwest Region in June.
