The Idaho Department of Fish and Game and The Anderson Family Trust have agreed to allow limited public hunting for all upland game species on this private property (Figure 1) in Game Management Unit 71 for the 2024 hunting season. This is a voluntary program whereby the landowner does not receive compensation for participation. In return for providing limited hunting access, IDFG agrees to manage and interface with hunters and respond to questions about the property.  

Hunting on this property is a privilege, and only possible because of willing landowner participation. As a result, continuation of this program is contingent on hunters following the managed hunt rules specific to this property.  Permission to access this property is subject to adherence to the rules outlined below.  Operating outside of these rules rescinds the landowner’s permission.  As such, violators can be charged with trespass, which could result in a loss of hunting and fishing privileges.

Anderson Family Trust Rules

  • Vehicles left unattended in the designated parking area (on Rapid Creek Road), must have a printed copy of the sign-up registration, including vehicle description and license plate number, displayed on the dash of their vehicle in a manner that will allow inspection of the registration from outside the vehicle.
  • Only two parties are allowed on this property per day.
  • Hunting dates are August 30 – October 9 and October 25 – November 30. Hunters are not permitted to access this property outside of the dates they have registered for.
  • Camping and fires are prohibited. Hunters must pack out all trash.
  • Hunting on this property is permitted for upland game only.  Persons pursuing or harvesting any other species will be subject to an immediate cancelation of their agreement and removal from the Managed Hunt Program.
  • Hunting is Walk-In only! Hunters must park in the designated area (Figure 1). Motorized vehicles are not allowed on property beyond the parking area.  Walk onto the property on East Webb Creek Road and stay on the road until past the two large granaries
  • Game retrieval must be by foot or other non-motorized means. Please do not contact the landowner for game retrieval assistance.
  • Hunters must leave all gates as originally found (e.g. close all gates that are closed and leave open gates open).
  • Hunting is prohibited within 200 yards of homes.
  • Only shotguns may be utilized to hunt on this property during this timeframe.
Registration Required

Hunters accessing this private property must register and agree to the terms and conditions of this property prior to participation and will be provided the rules and expectations of this property at registration. Violations of the rules can result in denial of future access, and/or criminal prosecution for trespass.

The landowner and IDFG have agreed to the following:

  • Allow limited public access for hunting upland game only.
  • Hunter inquiries, phone calls, and interactions should be directed to IDFG at the number provided on posted signs on the property or other means, and not directed toward landowners.   
  • Signs with pertinent information to this specific managed hunt will be posted at primary entry locations and parking areas.
  • Hunters accessing this private property will agree to the terms and conditions of this property prior to participation and will be provided with the rules and expectations of this property.  Violations of the rules can result in denial of future access, and/or criminal prosecution for trespass.
  • IDFG will provide added presence, patrol, and response to conflicts associated with hunting this property.
