Godde/Kroetch Access Program: Opening Delayed Due to Fire Conditions
September 4, 2026 — Due to recent precipitation, dropping temperatures, and subsequent reductions in fire dangers, Godde Family and Kroetch Land and Timber Company will reopen public access on Sept. 8 for anyone holding a permit. Permits can only be obtained from the Idaho Fish and Game Panhandle Regional Office during regular business hours, and permits are required to access the land.

August 19, 2026 — Idaho Fish and Game's access agreement with the Godde Family and Kroetch Land and Timber Company typically opens this property to permitted public access on August 30 for archery deer and elk season. Due to current fire conditions, this opening is delayed indefinitely until landowners are comfortable allowing public access.
This applies even if you hold a 2026 permit listing August 30 as your entry date — that date is no longer valid. No one may enter the property, permit or not, until a new date is set. Anyone entering before then will be trespassing.
