There’s no greater sinking feeling than pulling up to the campsite and realizing you forgot the fishing poles.
That’s why Idaho Fish and Game has teamed up with the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation to provide loaner rods at several state parks.
The State Park Fishing Equipment Loaner Program aims to increase awareness of the many fishing opportunities within Idaho’s state parks. With fishing locations at (or near) most parks, Parks and Recreation and Fish and Game wanted to eliminate some of the barriers that might coincide with those interested in fishing—such as lack of equipment. Each of the participating parks has 16 rods available to check out, for free, along with fully stocked tackle boxes ready for park visitors to enjoy.
