Idaho Fish and Game's Lemhi Hole Access Site's status will change to day-use only beginning July 1. Overnight camping will no longer be allowed.

Lemhi Hole Access Site moving to day-use only July 1
Overnight campers are encouraged to use other nearby sites

This decision was made with public safety in mind, as the area will soon be developed into an outdoor archery range where archers can shoot varying distances at stationary targets. Volunteers and Fish and Game staff have completed the groundwork, constructed a new boundary fence and placed the backstop. The range is anticipated to be available by mid-July, once the new targets arrive and are installed.

The access site's bathroom will still be accessible to the public.
Other nearby access sites that allow overnight camping include Carmen Bridge, Bobcat Gulch, Redrock, 4th-of-July, Waddington, Colston, and Deer Gulch.
