The Grace Fish Hatchery is located in southeast Idaho about eight miles south of the town of Grace. The Grace Fish Hatchery is funded through IDFG fishing and hunting license sales and PacifiCorp mitigation money.

From Highway 34, about 6 miles south of Grace, turn east onto Fish Hatchery Road. Travel east/southeast for about two miles on Fish Hatchery Road and turn right onto Fish Hatchery Lane to head down to the hatchery.
The Grace Fish Hatchery was built in 1946. The hatchery water supply comes from two freshwater springs which are the head waters of Whiskey Creek, a tributary of the Bear River. Inside the hatchery building there is an egg incubation room and 16 concrete vats used for rearing fry. Outside there are 16 small concrete raceways and 6 large concrete raceways used for rearing fingerling and catchable size trout.
The primary mission of the hatchery is to produce fish for Southeast Idaho lakes, reservoirs, rivers and streams. Additional fish are also produced to meet statewide stocking requests as needed.
Primary fish production is Rainbow Trout catchables and fingerlings. Sterile Lake Trout are also produced. Through cooperation with PacifiCorp, Bonneville Cutthroat Trout are also being produced at the hatchery to assist with conservation and restoration efforts in the Bear River and its tributaries.
Visitors are welcome from dusk to dawn, 365 days a year for self-guided tours. Scheduled tours are provided on request. Please call (208) 427-6364 for an appointment. There is a public restroom and a shaded picnic area on site.
