Benn Brocksome - Boise
Benn Brocksome founded Idaho Sportsmen - Access and Opportunity, an Idaho-based organization, to connect the men, women, and youth of Idaho to the outdoors and each other. He served under Former Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter as Special Assistant and Policy Advisor before entering the private sector and founding his firm Benn Brocksome & Associates. When he is not hunting or fishing, Benn works full-time as an advocate providing consulting, strategic advising, government relations, public affairs, and lobbying services for a variety of companies, organizations, and associations. As a fourth generation Idahoan, Benn has served in leadership roles for international corporations, on boards for local nonprofits, and in other political volunteer positions. In addition to recreating in Idaho’s backcountry, Benn also enjoys live music, rodeos, and traveling with his wife Laural and their daughter Fiona.
Ned Burns - Bellevue
Ned Burns is a 4th generation Idahoan, born and raised in Twin Falls. Ned attended the University of Montana and studied business administration and accounting. He served 2 years on the Bellevue Urban Renewal Board, then on to City Council before he was elected to serve as Mayor of Bellevue. Ned is in his 2nd term in the Idaho House of Representatives and is currently serving as the Minority Caucus Leader and Co-Chair of the Idaho Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus. Ned is an avid skier, hunter, angler, and recreational league hockey player. He resides in Bellevue with his spouse, Sara.
Jerry Cloninger - Kamiah
Jerry was born in Grangeville, Idaho and currently owns and operates 6 marketplaces in the Clearwater Region, all of which sell hunting and fishing licenses to both resident and non-resident hunters. He sits on the Wolf Depredation Control Board representing sportsmen of Idaho. Jerry cares deeply for his local community, which is demonstrated by his philanthropic nature. As an avid sportsman, Jerry believes in the “wise use” of Idaho’s natural resources.
Brad Compton - Boise
Bradley (Brad) grew up in northwestern Montana where he developed a passion for fish, wildlife, and associated outdoor recreation. Brad received 2 degrees from Montana State University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master of Science degree in Fish & Wildlife Management. In 1987, Brad joined the Idaho Department of Fish and Game and for the next 33 years worked throughout Idaho; eventually retiring in August 2020 as the Regional Supervisor for the Southwest Region. Brad was appointed to the Idaho Outfitters and Guides Licensing Board (IOGLB) in October 2020 as the Idaho Fish & Game Commission representative. In January 2021, Brad was elected to serve as the Chairman of IOGLB and continues in that capacity today.
Michael Fuller - Stanley
Michael Fuller of Stanely, Idaho is married with four children, all of which enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, etc. He is a Veteran of the United States Navy whose military career has spanned approximately 26 years, including 2 deployments. Michael has been both a non-resident and resident hunter in Idaho. With approximately 20 years of experience as a Hunter Education Instructor, Michael is a certified as a Hunter Education and Bowhunter Education Program Instructor with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. Michael is currently employed by the US Forest Service and resides in Stanley.
Mark Harris - Soda Springs
Mark Harris is a 4th generation Idahoan born in Montpelier, Idaho. Together, with his family, they raise cattle and hay on a ranch in Bear Lake County and a farm in Malta, Idaho. Mark has been involved throughout his life in agriculture issues having served on the state boards for both the Idaho Cattle Association and the Idaho Farm Bureau. Mark is currently serving his 5th term in the Idaho State Senate and is currently serving as the Majority Caucus Chair and Co-Chair of the Idaho Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus. Mark and his wife, Cheryl, are the proud parents of four boys.
Aaron Lieberman - Stanley
Aaron Lieberman is the Executive Director of the Idaho Outfitters & Guides Association (IOGA), a statewide nonprofit founded in 1954 dedicated to enhancing quality outdoor experiences and conserving Idaho's lands, waters, and wildlife. A lifelong outdoorsman, with over 17 years as a professional, licensed guide in Idaho, Aaron enjoys rafting, fishing, hunting, and exploring Idaho's wild places in his free time. He actively participates in various collaboratives and working groups focused on conservation and stewardship of Idaho's fish, wildlife, and public lands. In his role at IOGA, Aaron advocates for the interests of Idaho’s outfitters and guides and natural resources at both the state and national levels.
James Petzke - Meridian
James Petzke has served as a Representative for District 21 (Meridian) in the Idaho House of Representatives since 2022. He is a member of the Appropriations, Business, and Transportation committees, and has focused his work on education and sportsmen's issues. He is the co-founder of Upland Optics, a sporting optics company for hunters, and several other eCommerce businesses. He is a lifelong Idahoan and spends every summer climbing mountains and every fall chasing deer and elk on Idaho’s incredible public lands.
Tyrel Stevenson - Coeur d' Alene
Tyrel Stevenson serves as the Legislative Director for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe. Previously, he represented the Tribe in the In-House Legal Office in a wide array of practice areas, including real estate, employment matters, government operations, grant management, environmental issues and litigation. A life-long Idaho resident, he received a B.A. and J.D. from the University of Idaho. In his free time, he spends every possible moment in Idaho’s outdoors, whether pursuing sturgeon in Hells Canyon, smallmouth bass on Dworshak Reservoir, or elk in the Selway Wilderness.
Mike Veile - Soda Springs
Mike Veile is from Soda Springs, Idaho and is a mechanical engineer. Mike has felt himself very fortunate to have been able to be an engineer and still live in rural Idaho where he and his wife, Shelly, have enjoyed raising their 4 children. Mike has pursued and shared his outdoor passion with his children where they have regularly pursued bull elk to huckleberries, waterfowl to cutthroat and everything in between. Mike is also a school board member and serves on numerous other organizations and committees within Idaho.
