Bridge to Hayden Pond near Salmon to be replaced starting in early July

Summer visitors to Hayden Pond, south of Salmon, are asked to be patient while the bridge spanning Hayden Creek to the popular fishing pond is replaced.

Upper Salmon River Summer Chinook Fishery Update - 6/15/2022

F&G Commission approves summer Chinook seasons to start June 18

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission met via conference call and approved the proposed summer Chinook salmon seasons for the South Fork Salmon and Upper Salmon rivers as well as the Lochsa River. The seasons are set to open Saturday, June 18 and will remain open seven days a week until harvest goals are achieved.

Angler reports catching walleye below Swan Falls dam

On Thursday, June 9, an angler reported to Idaho Fish and Game that he had recently caught a walleye on the Snake River below Swan Falls Dam in Southwest Idaho. The angler provided photos, allowing fisheries biologists to confirm that it was a walleye. The angler will also provide the carcass to Fish and Game.

Ladies and girls hunter education class scheduled for Pocatello

Sixteen Idaho hunters draw Super Hunt tags, second drawing deadline is Aug. 10
