Beginning January 21, 2017, the Portneuf, Georgetown Summit and Montpelier Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) closed to all public entry.  The closure will help protect wintering big game animals and will remain in effect until further notice.

Connector deer cause social concern

Public concern regarding several healthy deer near the I-184 "connector" led to an Idaho Fish and Game truck being sideswiped by a fellow motorist today in Boise. Both the small deer herd and the officer were reported to be in good health.
