Bids Accepted NOW for Access YES! Program

idfg-jbruns

February 24th is the deadline for accepting bids for new properties

Attention landowners, farmers and producers!  Do you allow hunting on your property already but can’t keep up with managing all the hunters or don’t want to?  Or are you interested in allowing people to hunt but are not sure about the hassle of managing the hunters at your doorstep?  The Idaho Department of Fish and Game may have a solution for you.  Have you ever heard of the Access YES! program?  This program was designed to promote public access for sportsmen to hunt and fish on private lands or access through private lands to get to public property.  The benefits from being in the program include; habitat improvements, we’ll take care of all signage of the boundaries, designate parking locations, sign-in boxes and you may even be able to get paid for allowing access!  Bids for new properties are being accepted from now until February 24th 2017.

Remember, this program doesn’t have to mean wide open access.  It is still your land and you the landowner can decide when to allow access, for what species and what types of access.  Contact your Regional Access YES! Coordinator, Andrew Mackey at 208-750-4262 or email him at andrew.mackey@idfg.idaho.gov for more information or to receive you bid packet!
