Get certified in both hunter and bowhunter education by attending the instructor-led combination hunter/bowhunter education course scheduled for August 11th - 14th (Tuesday-Friday), from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m at the Salmon IDFG Office.
Only want hunter education? Sign up for the instructor-led hunter education course scheduled for September 8th - 10th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. (Tuesday-Thursday), and the 12th (Saturday) from 9:00 - 1:00 p.m. at the Salmon IDFG Office.
Courses cost $9.75 and will provide valuable, hands-on training and interaction. Students must be at least 9 years old to take a hunter education course. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1975, must complete a hunter education course to purchase an Idaho hunting license. Bowhunter education is required for anyone wanting to hunt archery-only hunts. The exception is if the hunter or archer can show that they have previously held a hunting license, hunter education certificate, or archery certificate from another state.
