Idaho Fish and Game is seeking comments on its 2023-2024 Migratory Game Bird Season proposals.

Beginning in 2020, Idaho Fish and Game held a swan hunt in Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, and Kootenai counties of northern Idaho. This experimental hunt provides a swan hunting opportunity through the 2023 season. Thereafter, the hunt could become operational upon approval by the Pacific Flyway Council and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
The proposed season structure for Swan is:

All tags (50) will be offered through a Controlled Hunt application process; application dates are May 1 - June 5.
