Hunt areas 10-1 and 10-2: Combine CH# 6002 and CH# 6003 into one hunt with 1 tag to reduce nanny harvest and maintain a stable or increasing population. High proportion of nanny harvest coupled with declining survey counts are indicative of a declining population. Between 2015 and 2024, the proportion of nannies in the harvest has been 44% in Hunt Area 10-1 and 50% in Hunt Area 10-2. Management plan guidance is to have 30% or less nanny harvest in order to maintain a stable population (IDFG Mountain Goat Management Plan 2019-2024). Additionally, survey counts since 2010 have shown a decline in the mountain goat population.
