Controlled Hunt Area 68-1, New any weapon, either sex hunt, Aug 1 – Aug 29 with 150 tags
Depredation by elk on agricultural lands in Unit 68 has increased in recent years. This hunt is intended to pressure elk earlier in the growing season near irrigated agriculture. This proposal is consistent with elk management plan objectives for the Big Desert Zone to reduce elk populations while still maintaining a variety of hunting opportunities.
