Controlled Hunt Area 66A-1X: New any weapon, extra antlerless hunt, Aug 30 – Dec 31 with 200 tags
The southeast region has extremely low densities of white-tailed deer, but in recent years small numbers have been observed across the region. Most of these areas are associated with private lands near riparian corridors. The region is proposing an extra antlerless controlled tag opportunity that would allow harvest of antlerless white-tailed deer across most of the region. Antlered white-tailed deer can be harvested on a regular deer tag with existing seasons and this proposal would provide an extra opportunity for those who want to pursue an antlerless white-tailed deer in the few isolated areas they are found
