Elk Landowner Permission Hunts
2014-2024 Elk Management Plan Management Direction: Implement proactive measures to minimize or compensate for elk depredations.
- Objective: Focus additional harvest of antlerless elk on private agricultural lands experiencing increased depredation issues.
- Depredation issues have increased significantly in the southern portion of Unit 5.
- Current elk harvest from General Hunts, Controlled Hunts, and Depredation Hunts is insufficient to address the growing depredation concerns.
