Overview Summary and Rationale
Increase antlerless tags in Unit 56 and align season dates with Unit 73A which borders to the east. Recent failure to coordinate season dates has rendered existing antlerless hunts ineffective. Indications of a growing elk herd combined with chronic depredations and extremely low landowner tolerance necessitates the need to reduce elk numbers.
