Idaho hunters commented on proposed changes to big game seasons in February. Nearly 1,300 individuals attended one of 30 open houses held around the state, and nearly 3,000 comments were received on the proposals online. In total, Fish and Game received more than 3,300 comments on the proposals.
In response to public input, Fish and Game has modified many of the proposals. In some cases, proposed changes have been dropped completely.
The final proposals will be presented to the Idaho Fish and Game Commission at the March 13 meeting when they will set big game seasons for 2019 and 2020. The Fish and Game Commission may act to adopt the proposals as presented, or they may make modifications.
The proposals are available below as PDF downloads. Each download is separated by species. A summary of the most significant proposals is included inside of each PDF.
