Youth Turkey Season Opens Saturday April 12

Youth turkey season opens three days before the regular season and offers adult hunters an opportunity to expand their season by introducing youths to turkey hunting. The youth turkey season runs from Saturday, April 12 through April 14. The general season opens April 15. A hunter must be 15 or younger on April 12 to participate in the youth hunt. All youth hunters must be accompanied by a licensed adult 18 years or older, who must be within normal conversation range. Youth ages 10 and 11 can buy a youth small game license and a turkey tag. Hunters must have a valid 2008 hunting license and a turkey tag.
