Turkey Hunting Clinic Scheduled in Lewiston

With wild turkey season opening April 15th, hunters are encouraged to refresh their skills at a turkey hunting clinic scheduled for 7 p.m., Thursday, March 29 at Tri-State Outfitters, 120 Thain Road in Lewiston. Harry Williamson, a Primos Pro Staffer and National Wild Turkey Federation Still Turkey Shoot Champion, will discuss how to make turkey calls more effective and how to minimize hunting accessories. Hunters will also learn now to discern yelps, clucks, cuts and cackles, and how to tune adjustable calls. Idaho Department of Fish and Game personnel will be available to talk with hunters about turkey management, hunter safety and landowner relations.
