Pheasants Forever Banquet Scheduled in Lewiston

idfg-nnokkentved
Outdoor enthusiasts looking to make a difference for wildlife habitat and conservation are invited to attend the North Idaho Chapter of Pheasants Forever banquet scheduled Saturday, April 5, at the Elks Club in Lewiston. "You don't have to hunt pheasants, train dogs or even own a shotgun to attend the banquet," said Jay Roach, North Idaho Pheasants Forever chapter president. "You just have to care about wildlife, enjoy the outdoors, and want to leave a legacy for future hunters." Doors will open at 5:30 with a social hour. A prime rib dinner is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with live auction to follow. Tickets for the event are $60 for individuals or $80 for couples, and include dinner, chances to win prizes, raffles, and membership to Pheasants Forever, including a one year magazine subscription to Pheasants Forever - Journal of Upland Conservation. "Most of the money raised will go toward working with local farmers and landowners to preserve and restore wildlife habitat in our local area," Roach said. "Plus, it's a great night of food, fun, and friends." Pheasants Forever local chapters retain the money raised at annual banquets, exclusive of membership fees, and use all of those funds for local habitat restoration projects. "All fund-raising dollars stay right here in North Idaho to make a difference for local wildlife," Roach said. Established in 1982, Pheasants Forever is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and enhancement of pheasant and other wildlife populations in North America through habitat improvement, land management, public awareness and conservation education. Members are a diverse group of hunters, nonhunters, farmers, ranchers, landowners, conservation enthusiasts and wildlife officials who want to make a difference for wildlife.
