New hunters or hunters new to Idaho are invited to attend the Idaho Big Game Hunting 101 workshop sponsored by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. The May 6th outdoor skills workshop will be held at Fish and Game Headquarters – 600 S. Walnut in Boise from 8am to 5pm. Workshop cost is $15/participant.
The workshop will cover a variety of topics including how to apply for controlled hunts, Idaho’s Hunter Education requirements, de-mystifying the big game regulation book, proper field dressing of big game and much more. Participants will also be treated to a venison lunch as part of the outdoor skills workshop.
