Native Plant Sale Set at the M K Nature Center

idfg-mcoleman
In celebration of Native Plant Appreciation Week the Idaho Native Plant Society's annual native plant sale will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Morrison Knudsen Nature Center in Boise. This year's edition of this popular event will feature 15 new species of native plants, improved organization and shorter lines. The sale will be in the Formal Back Yard area of the Nature Center, behind the Idaho Fish and Game headquarters building at 600 S. Walnut. In response to the popularity and demand for native plants, the sale offers a wide variety of hardy and drought tolerant natives. The plants will be arranged by their preferences for sun or shade, watering requirements and soil type to make it easy for our customers to select species that will survive in the their location. There will be a "members-only" sale for Idaho Native Plant Society members from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 29. Non-members may join the Native Plant Society at the Friday members-only sale and shop that day. Cash and checks only, please.
