Market Lake W M A Plans Prescribed Burns

Habitat staff members at the Market Lake Wildlife Management Area managed by the Idaho Fish Game will be conducting prescribed burns on Market Lake WMA on Wednesday, November 7, weather permitting. This burn is designed to enhance habitat on the marsh complex at Market Lake. "The area prescribed to burn has not had any burning for over 20 years, and the department hopes to use fire as a management tool," WMA Manager Josh Rydalch said. "There will be other areas where prescribed fire will be used on portions of Market Lake WMA throughout the winter 2012 and spring 2013."
