Legacy Gifts for the Holidays Benefit Idahoans

idfg-sliebenthal
The holidays offer a time for Idahoans to share their hopes and concerns for the future of Idaho's fish and wildlife resources. These are easily taken for granted. Whether large or small, whether creating new funds or adding to pooled resources for greater impact, legacy gifts are created by people who are passionate about leaving a lasting impact of good work for public benefit. The quality of life we enjoy in Idaho is deeply linked to our fish and wildlife resources. Whether fishing, hunting, hiking, boating, or simply viewing wildlife from your own backyard, all are opportunities derived from the natural abundance and diversity of Idaho's wildlife resources. These activities are made possible by caring and dedicated people-from wildlife managers to policymakers to folks wanting to leave a lasting legacy for generations to come. What is a legacy gift? It begins with a personal vision and commitment to benefit those who work, live and play in Idaho. The gifts themselves are donations of cash, securities or land that create a permanent funding source for a variety of wildlife-related activities--habitat acquisition or restoration, public access, wildlife management, and conservation education for children.
