Idaho Fish and Game is currently in the process of setting seasons for trophy species (moose, mountain goat, and bighorn sheep) for the 2017-18 seasons. Sportspersons have the opportunity to provide input on these hunts at an upcoming open house scheduled for Wednesday, December 14th from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Clearwater Regional Office, 3316 16th Street in Lewiston, Idaho.
The open house format allows visitors to attend anytime during the session. There are no changes being proposed for Clearwater Region hunts, but staff will be available to take input, answer questions, and discuss issues or concerns.
Starting December 12, a complete list of statewide season proposals - and the opportunity to comment online – will be available on Fish and Game’s website at https://idfg.idaho.gov/comment. Comments can also be mailed to: 2017-2018 Big Game MSG Species Season Proposals, PO Box 25, Boise, ID 83707. The deadline for comments is January 4.
All comments will be presented to the Idaho Fish and Game Commission prior to setting the seasons at their meeting in Boise on January 26.
