Idaho Fish and Game News is Now Available

idfg-mcoleman
The December issue of Idaho Fish and Game News is now available. This issue covers fishing, hunting and outdoor education opportunities for youth. Fish and Game charges reduced license and tag fees for youth hunters and provides several youth-only hunts. Read about Fish and Game programs designed to get young people interested, or those already interested started in hunting and angling. New rules allow people to hunt temporarily while accompanied by an adult mentor without having to be hunter education certified or to buy a license. Fish and Game also provides youth hunts for big game, waterfowl, pheasants and turkeys. Fishing opportunities for young people include the annual free fishing day in June and "Take Me Fishing" trailer events around the state - providing equipment and help with fishing without having to buy a license. In addition, this issue provides a glimpse of environmental education programs at the MK Nature Center in Boise, where students in a hands-on stream ecology class collect insects, fish and crayfish and learn what a healthy freshwater habitat looks like. Fish and Game News is free and available at license vendors and Fish and Game offices statewide and online at http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/public/media/?getPage=246.
