Idaho Fish and Game

Free 3D Archery Shoot, August 14 at Chester Wetlands WMA

idfg-mdemick
The Idaho Department of Fish & Game is holding a free 3D archery shoot at the Chester Wetlands Wildlife Management Area headquarters building located at 2885 N. River Rd, St. Anthony, Idaho. The course will be open from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. or until it becomes too dark to shoot on Thursday August 14th. The address to the Chester Wetlands Headquarters building can be misleading on some online maps, but is easy to find if you cross the Fun Farm Bridge heading north and take a right upon crossing the bridge. The road dead ends at the Chester Wetlands Headquarters. There will be multiple 3D targets to shoot at, with realistic shot scenarios including; from a tree stand, wooded areas, and in the field. Most targets are field tip only but some broadhead targets will be available for sighting in. This course is meant for all ages and skill levels. There will be several skills tests for more advanced archers and a beginner's area set up for first timers. Please come and join us in getting some extra practice in before heading out into the field this archery season or to learn more about taking a Bow Hunter Education course. Anyone with questions can contact James Brower of the Idaho Department of Fish & Game at 208-525-7290.
