Fish Salvage Order for Lost Valley Reservoir

The Weiser Irrigation District has told the Idaho Department of Fish and Game of its intent to drain Lost Valley Reservoir in Adams County. Because of drought, the demand for irrigation water will use most of the water stored in the reservoir. The irrigation company plans to drain the reservoir, with the likely result that the remaining fish will be killed as the water level drops and conditions become unsuitable. Therefore, the daily bag, possession and size limits will be removed on Lost Valley Reservoir in Adams County, effective September 12 through November 30. Anglers may salvage fish in the reservoir by any method except firearms, explosives, chemicals or electricity. A valid Idaho fishing license is required to salvage fish. Moving live fish from any waters in Idaho is illegal.
