Anyone who wants to go fishing June 9 can do it for free, no license required, and even find some help and equipment at certain places in each Fish and Game region. All Idaho waters open to fishing on Free Fishing Day are open to "license-less" fishing. Otherwise, all rules and limits apply as usual. Reading the regulations for the fishing water of choice is recommended. Fish and Game employees, volunteers and reservists will be on hand to help folks who lack skills and information in "how-to" seminars and with private instruction at designated areas in each region. At some locations, special events are planned including door prizes and "cooking the catch" on the spot. Some fishing equipment will be available at most of these locations. Where appropriate, Fish and Game has stocked these waters. Events in each region will be announced locally.
