Commission to Meet in Salmon in October

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission will meet at 8:00 a.m. October 5 at the Stagecoach Motel in Salmon. There will be a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 4 at the same location. The meeting was previously scheduled for Boise, but changed to Salmon to give Commissioners a chance to view damage caused by this summer's wildfires during a Wednesday tour. Commissioners will set the 2001 nonresident deer and elk tag quota and the setaside of those tags for outfitters. They will also review a proposal to change the boundaries of the Big Desert elk zone.
