idfg-staff
The Idaho Fish and Game Commission will hold its regular quarterly meeting April 5 at the Coeur d'Alene Resort in Coeur d'Alene. The meeting will begin at 8:00 a.m. A public hearing will be held at the same location at 7:00 p.m. April 4. Any Fish and Game topic may be addressed at the public hearing, not just items on the agenda. The big attention-getter on the agenda will be consideration of a proposed season on hatchery chinook salmon if run size projections continue to be good. The commission will give Fish and Game budget direction for fiscal year 2003, as well as hearing the financial report for the current year. Other agenda items include reports on fishery research in the Kootenai River and Lake Pend Oreille, an update on the Boundary Creek Wildlife Management Area and a report on the Albeni Falls mitigation process. The public is encouraged to attend and meet the commissioners from all seven regions.
