Comments Sought on Hunting Rule Proposals

Idaho Fish and Game is seeking public comments on 11 proposed big game and upland game rules. The Idaho Fish and Game Commission on July 22-24 will consider proposed changes to big game and upland game rules, including changes to controlled hunts, archery and short-range equipment, bear identification, ATV rules, hides and sale of animal parts, senior turkey hunts, use of dogs, salt as bait, and reclassifying grizzly bears. Public involvement is a critical component of rule making. Public comments help Fish and Game determine final proposed changes and will be considered by the commissioners during their deliberations. The proposed changes are available at http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/cms/public/. Written comments may be mailed to: Big Game Comments, c/o Idaho Fish and Game, P.O. Box 25, Boise ID 83707. Please submit comments by July 10. Rules adopted by the commission during the July meeting would undergo review by the 2010 Legislature, and if approved, become effective in 2010.
