Ask Fish and Game: Wolf Tag Refunds

Q. I bought a 2010 wolf tag earlier this year, but I didn't have a chance to use it. Can I get a refund? A. Under some conditions. If you bought a 2010 wolf tag after March 31, you are eligible for a refund. If you bought the tag before April 1, and certify that you did not participate in any wolf hunt, you would be eligible for a refund, but you must fill in, sign and submit an affidavit. If you bought a wolf tag before April 1 and hunted but did not kill a wolf, you are not eligible for a refund. And if you bought the tag before April 1, but the area you had planned to hunt closed because the harvest limit was met, you are not eligible for a refund. Eligible hunters must submit their request and return the original tag by October 1, 2010, to Idaho Fish and Game, Wolf Tag Refund Request, P.O. Box 25, Boise, ID 83707. Refunds may be made in a state check or an Idaho Fish and Game gift certificate at your preference.
