Ask Fish and Game: Big Game Rules

Q. I want to apply for a controlled hunt; when do the big game regs come out? A. The 2011 Big Game Seasons and Rules will be available after the Idaho Fish and Game Commission sets seasons at the March 29 meeting. The rules will be available on the Fish and Game website - http://fishandgame.idaho.gov - within a few days of the meeting, and the printed books will be available in mid-April. Applications for elk, deer, pronghorn and fall black bear controlled hunts are accepted from May 1 through June 5. Hunters need a 2011 Idaho hunting license to apply.
