2015 Salmon River Basin Steelhead Smolt Release Plans Altered

The total number of steelhead smolts scheduled to be released by hatcheries into Salmon River tributaries in the winter and spring of 2015 will meet objectives. However, due to limited broodstock availability in 2014 and lower than expected egg survival, the number of B-run steelhead smolts will be lower, and will be replaced by releases of additional A-run steelhead smolts.
Steelhead releases for the Clearwater River drainage in 2015 will be met as planned.
