PROJECTS IN DESIGN / CONSTRUCTION AS OF APRIL 26, 2022
PANHANDLE REGION
Clark Fork River Delta
- A project to improve habitat on the Clark Fork River Delta (Phase 3) funded by BPA. Contractor is currently finishing construction activities and final paperwork is being completed.
Cabinet Gorge Outdoor Brood Pond and Fishway
- Project is to design and construct an expanded outdoor cobble-lined brood pond and fishway to decrease fish density and improve rearing conditions. Project is 95% complete with a final in early May 2022.
Farragut Shooting Range Addition
- This proposed project will add a 25-yard pistol range to the existing 200-, 100- and 50-yard ranges at the Farragut shooting range facility. The project will include the grading of berms, backstop and bullet containment baffles for the 25-yard range. The range is managed under a court ordered consent decree that will need to be modified before project can be constructed. Project proposal is currently under design.
CLEARWATER REGION
Lewiston Regional Office Storage
- Project to improve functionality, appearance, drainage, and parking of Lewiston compound. Phase (I) will consist of constructing two pole buildings for storage, demolition of existing building, expanding the parking area, and additional fencing. Project is under construction with anticipated completion by spring 2022. Phase (II) is in the design phase and will be out for bid in late spring 2022.
Lewiston Regional Office HVAC Replacement
- Replacement of the HVAC system components due to end of life at the Lewiston regional office building. A contract has been executed and work is anticipated to be complete in early May 2022.
SOUTHWEST REGION
Horsethief Reservoir
- Provide electrical line and transformers by Idaho Power to Kings Point and Bear Knob campgrounds on the west side of the reservoir. Power is for well, camp hosts, and camp spots. Region has been awarded grant from Idaho State Parks and Recreation Department. Anticipated work in spring 2022.
MK Nature Center Kiosk
- Replace existing display kiosk. Design and construction paid for by Friends of the MK Nature Center. Project is under construction with anticipated completion in spring 2022.
Andrus WMA Fencing
- Approximately 20 miles of wire fence was destroyed or damaged during a recent wildland fire. Project to replace or repair as needed the fence on the WMA. Funding will be from State Insurance Fund. Project is under construction during 2021 and 2022 construction seasons, with completion in October 2022.
Nampa Hatchery Residence
- New modular home residence with detached garage for hatchery. Contractor has been awarded the contract for construction of home foundation, garage, sidewalks, etc. Construction has started and foundation is ready for home delivery. Home has been delivered. Garage is being constructed spring 2022 in parallel with modular home being set up.
Blacks Creek Range CXT
- A project to install a new CXT restroom at the Blacks Creek Range. Permit application has been approved. CXT purchase order has been placed and delivery is anticipated for spring 2022.
Boise River WMA Archery Range CXT
- A project to install a new CXT at the Boise River WMA Archery Range. Permit application has been submitted, paid for, and approved. CXT purchase order has been placed and we are awaiting delivery in spring 2022.
Nampa Regional Office Landscaping
- A project to update the landscaping at the Regional Office in Nampa. Construction contractor has been hired. Construction has started and project is anticipated to be completed by summer 2022.
McCall Storage Building
- A project to design and construct a new 180’ x 36’ storage building with office area at the McCall Sub-regional Office. The building is being designed and we are working through permitting and planning and zoning issues currently. Sewer permit has been approved and Planning and Zoning meeting with City of McCall is scheduled for May 3, 2022. Construction window is anticipated in summer/fall 2022.
MK Nature Center Licensing Desk Removal
- A project to remove the licensing desk at the MK Nature Center and restore the entrance configuration to its original layout. The project will also include the installation of the badge key system installed at Headquarters. Construction is currently in process with a completion scheduled for early May 2022.
Payette River WMA Wildlife Viewing Blind
- A project to construct a 150 square foot elevated wildlife viewing platform at the Payette River WMA. Project is currently under design and anticipated to go out to bid in May, with construction to begin June 2022.
MAGIC VALLEY REGION
Hayspur Hatchery Septic System
- Replace leaking septic lagoon with pressurized subsurface septic system. Design is by consultant designer. Construction on the new septic system is complete. Fencing around the new components will be installed when the ground thaws in spring 2022.
Hayspur Hatchery Generator
- Replace existing backup generator, relocate existing electrical panels, and replace pump starters with VFD. Contractor has started work including demo of old feed tower and pouring new concrete pad. Generator has been delayed until June 2022.
Hayspur Hatchery Residence
- New modular home residence with detached garage for hatchery. Contractor has been hired for construction of home foundation, garage, sidewalks, etc. Work anticipated in summer 2022. Modular home anticipated to be delivered and set up in spring 2022.
Hagerman Hatchery Residence
- New modular home residence with detached garage for hatchery. Contractor has been hired for construction of home foundation, garage, sidewalks, etc. Contractor has completed the foundation and site is ready for modular home delivery. Home delivery is anticipated spring 2022. Construction anticipated to be completed summer 2022.
Centennial Marsh WMA Restoration
- Wetland restoration projection at the Centennial Marsh WMA. Design will be completed utilizing the Wildlife Professional Services Agreement to get a design in place. Task Order has been generated with Ducks Unlimited. Permitting and bidding will occur in fall 2022 with construction estimated for spring/summer 2023.
SOUTHEAST REGION
Pocatello Regional Office Equipment Yard
- A project to expand the footprint of the existing equipment yard below the Pocatello regional office to provide additional equipment storage and increase site security. The project will consist of site grading, new fencing/gates and the addition of a pole building. Project is currently under design and anticipated to go out to bid in May with construction to begin July 2022.
Grace Hatchery Settling Pond Improvements
- Recent measurements of effluent phosphorus loads have approached the facilities discharge permit limits. This project includes the dredging of the existing settling pond and the evaluation, design and construction of infrastructure to increase sediment and phosphorus removal at the facility. Project is currently under design and anticipated to go out to bid in May with construction to begin July 2022.
UPPER SNAKE REGION
Mud Lake Marty Tract Wetland Restoration
- A project to improve wetland habitat on the Mud Lake WMA. A task order was issued to consultant and project has been designed. Project will go out to bid in spring 2022.
Antelope Creek Access Site
- A project to create an access site at the Antelope Creek site. Project has been designed and a contractor has been selected. Construction to take place in summer 2022.
Regional Office ADA doors
- Installation of four new ADA compliant doors with push button operators. Project is in design phase and will be out for bid in spring 2022.
Mackay Hatchery Pole Building
- Project is to construct enclosed pole building at the Mackay fish hatchery to store and maintain hatchery equipment (i.e. fish transport trucks, tanks, and fish pumps). Project will go out to bid in May.
SALMON REGION
Upper Salmon Basin Fish Habitat Improvements
- The region is working with consultants to design and construct stream restoration projects throughout the Upper Salmon Basin.
Lemhi Rifle Range CXT
- A project to install a new CXT at the Lemhi Rifle Range. Permit application has been submitted, paid for, and approved. CXT purchase order has been placed and delivery is anticipated for spring 2022.
Salmon Regional Office Fire Suppression
- Project to repair and replace the fire suppression system at the Salmon Regional Office. Anticipated construction in late spring/summer 2022.
