This past week the South Fork of the Clearwater saw a significant jump in angler effort and very good catch rates. Most anglers are fishing from the Harpster RV Park and down using a variety of gear including pink yarn, artificial eggs, eggs, beads, and flies. The river clarity was cloudy to muddy but anglers still did well in the lower half of the South Fork. We also heard that there are fishing being caught as far up as the Mt. Idaho hole.
The North Fork of the Clearwater also had a lot of anglers this past week and had good catch rates as well. The effort is spread out throughout this section and anglers were using bobbers and jigs with Sand Shrimp. Jaime Robertson -- Fisheries Technician 2
