Fish & Game to host big game season setting meetings
JEROME – Idaho Fish and Game will be hosting three meetings next week to discuss the proposed changes for this falls hunting seasons for deer, elk, pronghorn, bear, lion and wolf seasons.
The meetings will all begin at 6 pm with a presentation on the proposals. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the proposals during the presentation.

- February 15, Magic Valley Regional Office, 324 South 417 East, Highway Business Park, 2.5 miles north of the Flying J, Jerome
- February 16, Hailey Community Campus, 1050 Fox Acres Rd., Hailey
“Now that we are setting hunting seasons every two years we have a lot to discuss,” said Daryl Meints, Regional Wildlife Manager. “Our proposed changes include, increasing antlerless elk harvest opportunity across the region to address depredation problems due to expanding elk herds and looking at reducing some antlerless deer harvest in some of our northern units because of the heavy snows this winter.”
“We have a lot to discuss and we hope sportsmen take this opportunity to come and be heard.”
