This past week the majority of the boat anglers on the main stem of the Clearwater (river section 03) fished from Lenore to Orofino. Shore anglers spread out from Cherry Lane up to the pole yard (river section 03). Anglers were seen fishing with bobbers and jigs, drifting, and fly fishing. Most of the boat anglers were launching from the Pink House boat ramp.
Anglers on the North Fork spread out from the wall and the bridge. Many anglers were fishing all the way along the west side of the river. They tied ropes to the guard rails to make it safer to climb up and down the banks. Most anglers observed were bobber fishing.
River section 04 did not document any effort but it looks like the ice is starting to break up due to the warmer temperatures. Hopefully this will make it easier to access in the near future. Check the Harvest Report for more details. - Jaime Robertson, Fisheries Technician 2, Clearwater Region
