General Information
The Nampa Fish Hatchery is a resident trout rearing facility located on the south end of Nampa. Briggs Creek is the rental facility for the Nampa Hatchery while under construction for a full hatchery rebuild. Routine chores here will include feeding fish and picking mortality, cleaning and mucking raceways, taking lb counts, and ensuring fish are ready for transport and helping with fish stocking.
Incumbents must be able to work a variable schedule under adverse weather conditions, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Applicant will be required to work outdoors in and around water. Irregular work schedules are frequent; weekend, holiday and evening work will be likely. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to read, write and compute simple math.
Responsibilities
Incumbent must be able to perform routine fish rearing duties at a large trout fish hatchery. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: weighing fish feed and feeding fish; cleaning raceways; maintaining grounds and equipment; crowding and netting fish; loading and unloading trucks; transporting fish.
