The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is seeking Biological Aide. This position will be located at our Pahsimeroi Fish Hatchery located in May, Idaho. This is a Non-Benefitted Biological Aide temporary position and is expected to work 40 hours per week. Housing is available for the employee only. No pets.

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Some knowledge of biology, zoology, botany, conservation biology or closely related field
• Some knowledge of life history, anatomy, and ecology of various fish and wildlife species
• Experience interacting with the public in a professional setting
• Experience operating ATVs, boats, snowmobiles, tractors, trail bikes, trailers, and/or UTVs
• Some knowledge of animal husbandry
• Experience performing grounds or building maintenance
• Experience diagnosing and repairing minor mechanical problems
• Experience building and/or maintaining fencing
• Experience operating flood or sprinkler irrigation systems
• Experience operating chainsaws and other power tools
• Assisting with trapping and spawning of Summer Chinook and Steelhead.
• Feeding Fish
• Cleaning Vats
• Data Collection
• Data Entry
• Loading adult fish for release or distribution
• Maintaining grounds and equipment
• Operating Lawn care and landscaping equipment
• Pressure washing raceway walls
• Occasional data entry.
