The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is seeking a Wildlife technician (non-benefited) to conduct sampling for Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) during the 2025 hunting season. Incumbent will work 40 hours with 2 days off per week. Work hours will vary but incumbents will often be required to work during weekends and evenings. Housing accommodations may be available for employee only.

• Experience recording, summarizing, and analyzing biological data.
• Valid driver’s license.
Applicants must be able to interact with the public in a professional and positive manner, work independently, and follow established protocols while accurately collecting data and sampling wildlife. Applicants should be detail oriented, self-motivated, and safety conscious.
With or without reasonable accommodations, incumbents must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, navigate through and hike over rough and rugged terrain up to 5 miles one way, safely drive on both paved and backcountry roads for multiple hours per shift, and work in adverse weather conditions.
