About the position

About the Position

The Salmon Region is seeking applicants for two (2) Fisheries Research Data Technicians (non-benefited) to help monitor the potential 2025 Upper Salmon River Spring Chinook Salmon fishery. These positions are not guaranteed and will only be filled if we are able to open a salmon fishery on the Upper Salmon River. Interviews for these positions would take place once a salmon fishery is approved (mid to late May) and an opening date is set. Depending on fishery boundaries, housing at an IDFG cabin or in a camper may be possible.

Dates Needed:

If a salmon fishery is approved, the approximate dates needed will be from June 11th through August 10th, 2025. Exact start and ending dates for employment will depend on the run timing and harvest share quota. Depending on the duration of the fishery, these positions could end by mid-July.
