General Information
SPECIAL NOTIFICATION: This position is exempt from classified state service and the rules of the Division of Human Resources and the Idaho Personnel Commission. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is seeking a Research Data Technician. This position will be located at our Headquarters Office located in Boise, Idaho. This is a 5-month non-benefited temporary position and is expected to work up to 40 hours per week. 
Qualifications
• Good knowledge of computer and data management (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL, GIS)
• Some experience recording, summarizing, and analyzing scientific data
Responsibilities
• Entering botanical and biological data into Excel and other database systems
• Formatting data into databases for usable information
• Filing and organizing electronic and hard copy files
• Scanning literature and hard copy data sheets
• Verifying data and performing quality assurance for accuracy
• Communicating and coordinating data with internal and external partners
• Using GIS for mapping observation locations
