Maintenance Craftsman

About the position

The Department of Fish and Game is seeking a Recreation Site Maintenance Craftsman in Coeur d'Alene. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for conducting minor maintenance on Idaho Department of Fish And Game operated fishing and boating access sites in the Panhandle Region. The duration of employment will be 3-5 months, with some start and end date flexibility provided for those with existing responsibilities (such as schooling).

General Information
With or without reasonable accommodations, the incumbent must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift and carry items weighing up to 80+ lbs., and work in adverse weather conditions. The work schedule is 40 hours per week; 4 – 10 hour days. (Monday- Thursday)
This position is non benefited.
Qualifications
• Ability to interact with the general public and employees in a courteous fashion
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments in timely fashion
• Ability to operate / maintain tools and equipment such as pressure washers, lawnmowers, and weed eaters
• Valid driver’s license.

Applicants will be given additional consideration if they:
• Possess basic construction skills
• Possess maintenance and/or landscaping related experience
Responsibilities
• Removing trash
• Cleaning/restocking restrooms
• Replacing and installing signage
• Preforming light facility related maintenance (mowing, weed eating, clearing brush)
• Disseminating information to sportsman
